Peaceful and picturesque in its setting yet just 4 miles from the vibrant town of Oban, An Cala offers contemporary accommodation, vast spectacular views and a location made for walkers, wildlife watchers and anyone who simply wants to switch off by the water. The newly refurbished interiors are warm and inviting, with all the space and amenities you could want for a relaxing holiday. The views over the loch will be sure to soothe the soul. And in the area you can enjoy energetic outdoor pursuits aplenty as well as gentle strolls on deserted beaches and evenings spent in convivial local hostelries. There’s something for everyone.

The Area Surrounding The Property / Accommodation

From your window you can see the majestic Connel Bridge, where the tidal sea and fresh loch water create the Falls of Lora rapids, and the area is home to all kinds of wildlife, from porpoises and dolphins to otters and golden eagles. Hikers can head for Beinn Lora, 3 miles away, where you will be rewarded with panoramic views across Mull, down to Jura and across to Ben Cruachan. Or you could wander along to Tralee Beach, while away a few hours in the gastro pub across the road, or head for the bars, shops, seafood restaurants, distillery and ferry terminal in Oban.

The cottage has three bedrooms - two doubles and one twin - as well as a family bathroom, a living area with a wood burning stove and a dining area, a fully equipped kitchen and a conservatory from where you can take in the views. There is under floor heating and mod cons like a TV/DVD player, a Bluetooth sound system, WiFi and a coffee machine are provided.

Exterior Details
The large windows bring the outside in, the views of the loch are breathtaking, and at the back there is a private lawned garden with a BBQ and furniture.

Conditions of Rental
Check in from 4pm and check out by 9.30am. No smoking but dogs are permitted. A 25% deposit is required to secure the booking. A private chef is available to cater for special occasions.
