Nouvelle Aquitaine is the name of the region formerly known as Poitou Charentes. It is made up of four regions - Charente, Charente Maritime, Deux Sevres and Vienne. Inland, the holiday rentals scene is one of serenity, with vast horizons and wooded valleys, the Poitou fens and Marais Poitevin, the soothing tranquility of canals, the valley of Vienne, the foothills of Charente and the Cognac vineyards.
