Garmoran Square is made up of four luxury single storey cottages on the west coast of the Scottish Highlands, each sleeping up to between 2 and 6 people. It offers the best of both worlds - a rural getaway amid spectacular west coast scenery but with contemporary city-chic on the accommodation front. The 5 star cottages have a traditional-looking croft exterior that is sympathetic to its surroundings and gives lie to the luxurious, contemporary interiors. The properties sleep from 2,4,6, 6 people or up to 18 if taken as a whole.

Situated in Mingarry, Moidart, near Ardnamurchan on the picturesque west coast of the Scottish Highlands, just 1 hour from Fort William and within easy reach of Mull and Skye. Combining a traditional Highland setting with modern day comfort and chic. The elegant cottages have stunning views across Loch Shiel to Ben Resipole. Each is unique and has been tastefully, decorated, with quality fixtures and fittings throughout. All accommodation on the ground floor for easy access. Pets are welcome by prior agreement.
Mingarry is situated in Moidart on the west coast of the Scottish Highlands, to the west of Fort William and north of the Isle of Mull. Mingarry is a small crofting township. In Acharacle there is a hotel, pub and restaurant offering great quality food using local produce, local shop and bakers. Fort William, 44 miles away, offers a wider range of shops and services. Activities include walking, climbing - many great walks from a 20 minute stroll to all day expeditions, cycling, fishing, kayaking, and boat trips Wildlife in Moidart, Red deer; otters; seals; pine martens; red squirrel, golden eagles; buzzards, plus many more. Everywhere you go in Moidart, there are reminders of the past, Bonnie Price Charlie, and the Clan Ranald stronghold of Castle Tioram. Sightseeing Moidart and Ardnamurchan can claim some of the best beauty spots on the west coast, with many stunning beaches close by.
Getting There:
By car: from Fort William take the A82 in the direction of Oban. After about 8 miles, shortly before Onich, cross the Corran Ferry to Ardgour. This leaves at a quarter past and a quarter to the hour during the day. On leaving the ferry turn left and follow the signs for Strontian then on to Salen, Acharacle and on to Mingarry. Garmoran Square is 2nd on the right. Scenic-route: alternatively, if you have more time for the journey and want a more scenic route, head North out of Fort William taking the road to Mallaig and the Isles (A830). From here continue on your journey to Lochailort where you turn off the Road to the Isles and head across hills (A86). You are then heading through Moidart. Go through the fishing village of Glenuig and onto Mingarry, Garmoran Square is the 2nd last house on the left.

Interior Details
Every detail has been considered from the extremely well-equipped kitchens to widescreen TV's (Sat TV) DVD and bluetooth speakers - ideal for those wet Scottish evenings! Drying rooms with boot racks, underfloor heating throughout, all bathrooms en-suite. Master bedrooms with TV and fluffy robes, super king beds with 100% cotton linen. Chopped wood is readily available for you to stoke up the fire and lovely Arran Aromatics in the bathroom set you up for that relaxing bath! Maps, walking books and binoculars, are in the cottages for your use during your stay as well as a selection of nonfiction books, games, and DVD’s. Hairdryers and alarm clocks in every bedroom.
Exterior Details
The elegant cottages, MacRuairi, Tioram, Shiel and Somerled, form a traditional courtyard style property - which has been designed to look like traditional croft byres from 100 years ago with a modern twist. Each cottage has its own deck area with outside garden furniture and BBQ’s. The decks are south facing looking out to the mountainous Ben Resipole. The cottages sit in a maintained garden that is fenced and gated. There is a storage shed for bikes etc. Across the road is a ScotsPine forest, which is lovely to explore.
Conditions of Rental
Bookings usually run from Saturday to Saturday. If, however, you are interested in any variations and/or short breaks please contact us for availability, as we do offer some outside the peak seasons. A minimum stay of three nights is applicable. All prices are fully inclusive off all electricity, coal, logs, bedding, towels, broadband access and your welcome pack. Cots and highchairs can be supplied if requested at no extra charge. Please advise in advance so this can be arranged. Credit and debit cards are accepted. Arrival is from 4.00pm onwards and departure before 10.00am. Pets are welcomed by prior arrangement.
