One-Off Feature

A cosy two bedroom cottage in the grounds of a medieval chateau in the Limousin region of France.  It has a private garden and a pool (shared with one other property) for lazy days on site, and is perfectly placed for exploring the cuisine, the towns, the rivers and the forests in the vicinity.

General Info

Chateau Freyssinet is owned by a Dutch family who have worked hard on restoring the chateau cottages to offer you a warm welcome in a place where you can explore the wild and undiscovered Limousin region.  This intimate collection of holiday rentals in France is well set up for couples, families and groups of friends.

The Area Surrounding The Property / Accommodation

There is masses to see and do in the surrounding area suitable for all ages and family members.  Limoges is an excellent place for foodies - there are numerous haute cuisine haunts nearby, including two within a 15 minute drive.  Visit Limoges with its beautiful medieval city centre and explore the cathedral and museums.  Limoges is well known for its porcelain and a wander through the old medieval streets will offer you numerous porcelain shopping opportunities.  Or you can buy straight from the factories.  Visit the Travassac slate quarries near the town of Donzenac, or take a trek through the forest to the Gorges de L’Auvezeres along the beautiful river.  Visit Uzerche, the Pearl of Limousin, or go hiking and mountain biking in the nearby Massif des Monedieres.  There are nearby lakes where you can enjoy boating, watersports and lake beaches.

Interior Details
Maison Jourdaine is a two bedroom cottage which can sleep up to four people.  It has a beautifully appointed living room with a pellet heater, a fully equipped kitchen, two bedrooms and a bathroom.  Linen and towels included.  Wifi and streaming services.  A selection of games, books and toys for indoor entertainment.

Exterior Details
Outside, the cottage has a private terrace and garden and there is a large pool with magnifient views which is shared with the other cottage on site.  There is a BBQ for eating al fresco.  Trampoline, play area, table tennis, fussbal and other games on site. 

Conditions of Rental
End of stay cleaning is included in the price.  Baby cot, highchair and children’s tableware available.  Guests will have access to a washer / dryer.  Pets are allowed outside peak season (Jul / Aug) for a small additional fee, please enquire.
