Es Pins is an elegant and spacious farmhouse surrounded by acres of mature Mediterranean gardens and typical Mallorcan farmland full of olives, almond and fig trees. Furnished with a combination of antiques, traditional fabrics and local tiles, not to mention a pool, terraces and spectacular views, this house just oozes character.
For fifteen years the owners have been living in and renting their farmhouse in south east Mallorca, where beautiful unspoilt countryside is characterised by small villages and fields of almond, olive and fruit trees enclosed by old dry stone walls. Sheep bells and birdsong are the soundtrack to daily life here, and the dramatic mountains of the Sierre Levante and the tiny monastery of the Consolacio form an impressive backdrop. Look south from the terrace to the Mediterranean, where two large sandy beaches await just 10 minutes away by car, or wander into the traditional hill village of Alqueria Blanca (population 800), with its charming village square, friendly bar, local shops and restaurants. Whether you’re here for a family holiday or a party it’s the perfect spot.
The house is set in the Mallorcan countryside, near the small traditional hilltop village of Alqueria Blanca. There is a brilliant range of restaurants within 10-15 minutes and there is also a good selection of eateries in the harbour village of Porto Petro or within the resort of Cala d'Or and the nearby marina. Alqueria Blanca itself, an easy walk from the house, is home to the Italian 'Bacco' restaurant and the popular 'Bar Nou' which offers a large selection of drinks in the village square. The beaches at Cala Mondrago (a 10 minute drive) and Cala Sanau both slope gradually into the sea and offer beach bars, sunbeds and fixed beach umbrellas for daily hire. For the golfers, there are several excellent golf courses to choose from within a short drive.

Interior Details
Es Pins sleeps ten in three doubles and two twins, and it features antiques, ancient wood beams, thick stone walls and spacious cool interiors throughout. All of the bedrooms have ceiling fans and en-suite bathrooms, there is a fully fitted farmhouse kitchen and the large lounge/dining room with its old beamed ceiling has a table to seat 10 and a separate area with a sofa and easy chairs. From here you can access the terrace. The living space is well equipped with a music system, CDs, and books, and there is also an elegant music room with an original tiled floor, a satellite TV/DVD player and doors leading to the patio.
Exterior Details
The house is set in more than 5 acres of land filled with almond, citrus and fig trees. The outside space is diverse, with everything from mature Mediterranean gardens, fountains and sun terraces to shady spots with garden furniture, a BBQ and a large swimming pool (with optional childproof pool fence), and from the grounds you can enjoy lovely sea and mountain views. Two of the bedrooms at Es Pins have their own terrace, and there is a further pool terrace, a garden house, table tennis, and three shaded parking places within the main gates.
Further Details
Children are welcome and cots, high chairs and a playpen can be provided. The pool has steps and a good shallow end but it does not have a fence/gate around it. There is a resident couple who look after guests and they will clean the house three times a week and change linen and towels weekly. They also clean the pool every other day and ensure that gardens are watered, lawns are cut, and sun loungers are ready for use. If you require babysitting, this can be provided, as can some meals (both at additional cost).
Conditions of Rental
Rental fee includes: weekly bed linen and towel service, electricity, gas, water, central heating, pool and garden maintenance, 3 x weekly maid service/cleaning and the services of local agents. It excludes full maid/cook service, travel and car hire costs and insurance but these can be provided on request at extra cost. A deposit is 25% is required and the balance is due eight weeks before your holiday. If you have to cancel your booking you will be charged on a scale in line with all major travel/rental companies, according to the amount of notice you are able to give.
