One-Off Feature

The Cow Shed is one of four beautifully converted boutique barns set in rolling Cheshire countryside surrounded by wonderful walks, superb pubs, and lots to do in the vicinity if you can drag yourself away.

General Info

All four of the barns have been individually designed and come complete with log burners, luxurious interiors, fully equipped kitchens, entertainment systems and romantic bedrooms.  A variety of VIP experiences are available to add to the indulgence of your stay - these range from flowers, chocolates, champagne, afternoon tea, helium balloons, and a pre lit firepit with lanterns, cosy blankets, marshmallows and champagne.  Please enquire for more details.  Group stays are welcome (the four barns can sleep up to 12 in total), and a variety of concierge services are available.

The Area Surrounding The Property / Accommodation

If it’s pampering you’re after, guests are eligible for 30% off treatments in a local beauty salon, book a day pass at nearby Carden Spa, or if you don’t want to go anywhere, you can book in house beauty treatments.  For walkers, The Bickerton Hills and the stunning Sandstone Trail are just up the road.  There are hundreds of different walks with fantastic views, wild ponies and lovely pubs along the way.  There’s also a great range of cycle routes in the vicinity.  The village pub, The Cholmondeley Arms (2 miles away), has its own gin distillery and offers gin tasting sessions, or enjoy a meal at the Dusty Miller Pub (half a mile away). Head to the beautiful market towns of Shrewsbury or Ludlow by train from the village - the station is just 2 miles from the barns.   Two miles away is the stunning Cholmondeley Castle with its beautiful grounds and there are lots of National Trust properties within a short drive.  For those who want some urban exploration, the barns are about 40 minutes from both Manchester and Liverpool, and the lovely walled city of Chester is just 20 minutes away.  And for the children - they’re bound to enjoy a visit to the biggest icecream parlour in Europe, which is just a 10 minute drive away.
