Abbey Stables is an art inspired hideaway which combines original features with contemporary comforts, and all in an atmospheric location a stone’s throw away from the seafront.
Tucked away in a conservation area just a short walk from a bustling harbour, Abbey Stables is a romantic and relaxing art inspired holiday rental in Cornwall from which you can explore the attractions of Penzance and beautiful West Cornwall beyond. The cottage has been recently renovated to exacting standards, offering charming, spacious and stylish accommodation, and 5 minutes away you will find pubs, bars, cafes and restaurants galore, not to mention an art deco salt water pool and a seafront promenade. You won’t be disappointed.
Penzance is a vibrant and historic seaside town which is famous for its colourful maritime and smuggling past. Nearby there are lots of flower-filled sub-tropical gardens (the climate is delightfully mild), and within the town you will find fine Georgian and Regency architecture and streets full of independent shops and art galleries. If you walk along the promenade to the west you will reach the fishing village of Newlyn, or go east towards Marazion and walk across the cobbled causeway to reach the castle at St Michael’s Mount. The choice of eateries in the area is outstanding, and fresh local produce is available everywhere, and further afield you can take a day trip to Tresco, explore the Lost Gardens of Heligan and The Eden Project as well as the coastal towns of St Ives, St Mawes and Mousehole. Naturally this is also an outstanding location for coastal walks, bike rides and water sports.
