Situated 3 miles from the barn, Robin Hood s Bay offers a delightful selection of pubs and small shops, ensuring you have everything you need for your relaxing break. The fishing industry has prevailed in Robin Hood s Bay and there is still a fishmonger s in the village where you can buy freshly landed seafood. In the wider area, make sure you take a day trip to Whitby, 6 miles away. The ruins of the 13th century St Hilda s Abbey on East Cliff dominate views across the River Esk and make a stunning spot for a photograph. Whitby also has excellent literary associations through the works of Lewis Carroll and Bram Stoker, whose novel Dracula was partly set in the coastal town.
