The Old Vicarage provides comfortable, spacious and elegant accommodation, and is equipped with everything you could possibly need to make you feel at home. If you like to relax outside, you'll be spoilt for choice – the gardens extends to over an acre, with a patio terrace and level lawn, complemented by terraces and sloping orchard borders. Lee Bay is a wonderful beach, lots of rock pools, a cave and amazing slate rock formations, safe for small children to explore. There are beautiful coastal walks to enjoy from Lee, you can surf and boogie board at Woolacombe, 10 minutes drive (voted best uk beach by Sunday times and coast mag.) or you can play a round of golf at Royal North Devon, Saunton or Ilfracombe, all of which are within easy reach. The delightful interiors combine with the wonderful seaside setting to create the perfect family holiday house.
Secluded without being isolated, The Old Vicarage sits in the legendary village of Lee on the North Devon coast, just 2.5 miles from the surfing beach of Woolacombe. Lee itself is a very quiet village, home only to a small gift shop and the Grampus Inn, which does excellent food. The nearest beach is just a 5 minute walk from the house and when the tide is low it is possible to access Sandy Bay with its fascinating caves and rock formations. You can also access a beautiful walk along the footpath towards Bull Point, Mortehoe and Woolacombe. There is a wealth of activities on offer nearby, from walking, cycling and horse riding to golfing, surfing, quad biking and kite flying. In addition, the famous villages of Clovelly, Lynton and Croyde are a stone’s throw along the coast and Lundy Island (12 miles off the coast and designated a Site of Special Scientific Interest) is easy to get to by ferry from Ilfracombe.
