In the heart of a beautiful Somerset working farm you will find Stable Cottage, a cosy and colourful holiday cottage with a wood burning stove, an old piano and a private hot tub. It’s a warm and welcoming little bolthole.
Attached to the farmhouse and looking towards the barns and open farmland, The Stable Cottage is the perfect rural retreat for families or couples. Inside, it is homely and quirky, with plenty of space and all the mod cons you could need for a relaxing break. Outside on the terrace is a private wood-fired hot tub – an idyllic spot in which to relax after a day of exploring! And nearby there are beaches, walks, country pubs, National Trust estates and opportunities aplenty for outdoor pursuits. Whether you’re after fresh air, romance or frolics in the countryside, this is a delightful part of the world.
Middle Stone Farm sits in the midst of glorious countryside, with Exmoor National Park on one side and the Quantock Hills on the other. If you enjoy walking, cycling and fresh air then you’ve definitely come to the right place, and the area is full of thatched villages, beautiful beaches and National Trust properties like Dunster Castle, Knighthayes Court and Killerton House. Those in search of an adrenalin rush can go kayaking, coasteering, surfing, rock climbing and clay pigeon shooting, and those who would prefer to sit back and relax can visit places like Porlock Weir and Selworthy before sampling the abundant local farmers’ markets, cafes and pubs. There are two play areas on the farm open from Spring to Autumn and farm tours are also available.
