A charming and contemporary two bedroom apartment in the heart of historic Alnwick, just a short drive from Northumberland’s beautiful heritage coastline. Private patio and parking, and a few minutes walk to shops, pubs and restaurants.
All the amenities of the town are within easy walking distance from the apartment so whether you’re self catering, or in search of a great place to eat and drink, everything is on your doorstep. There are lovely walks in the vicinity, including to Hulne Park which is the outer grounds of Alnwick Castle. An ideal apartment for couples and small families.
The apartment is centrally located with all the amenities and sights of Alnwick on your doorstep, including the world famous Alnwick Garden and the beautiful Alnwick Castle. The stunning heritage coastline is a 10 minute drive, and there’s a collection of pretty coastal villages dotted along this coastline which are all worth exploring, from Amble in the South, to Bamburgh in the North. Drive across the causeway to Holy Island, take a boat trip to the Farne Islands nature reserve, head inland for some hiking and cycling in the Cheviot Hills, and visit grand country houses such as Wallington Hall and Howick Hall - there’s something for everyone here.

Interior Details
The apartment is on the first floor, accessed either via the stairs or an elevator, from the beautiful glass atrium entrance. There is a west facing sitting room with two sofas and floor to ceiling windows, which lead out to the patio. The sitting room has a Smart TV with Netflix, a selection of books and games and a bluetooth / DAB radio speaker. The kitchen area is well equipped and includes a full size fridge freezer, electric oven, washing machine, Nespresso machine and an Amazon Echo Dot. The dining table seats up to four people. There are two bedrooms, a double and a twin. The double room has floor to ceiling windows (leading out to the patio). Luxury linens and towels provided (no feather bedding, so suitable for allergy sufferers). The tiled bathroom has a bath (with shower over). Free wifi throughout.
Exterior Details
There is a west facing patio which can be accessed from both the sitting room and the main bedroom. Furnished with a bench sea and some chairs, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a refreshing drink after a busy day of exploring. Bike racks in the car park area available for your use. Private parking space for one car in an allocated bay (and free on street parking nearby).
Conditions of Rental
Arrival days are Friday or Monday (short breaks available). A damage waiver is included in the holiday cost, which provides cover up to a nominal amount. With the accommodation being all on one level and with level access from the front door using the lift, this apartment is well suited to those with limited mobility. Please note that the shower is over the bath rather than in a cubicle. We regret pets are not permitted at The Puffin’s Burrow. Generous welcome hamper included. One baby welcome. A travel cot and highchair is provided upon request.
