Just a mile North, you will find The Purdy Lodge, where guests of the cottage can enjoy 10% off their food bill.

Five miles away lies the attractive village of Bamburgh, with its expansive sandy beach offering the perfect space to picnic. If you’re feeling brave, you might want to try your hand at surfing which is popular with many locals and visitors. Another reason to visit Bamburgh is for its iconic castle, with its site history dating back to prehistoric times, this fantastic landmark offers an exciting day out for everyone. Bamburgh is also known for the heroine Grace Darling, who saved 18 sailors from a Shipwreck on the Farne Islands; you can visit the RNLI Grace Darling Museum and learn of her fascinating rescue.

The nearby town of Seahouses and the village of Beadnell are popular with tourists and offer some truly unique experiences for your holiday; a boat trip from Seahouses out to the Farne Islands is a must and over on Beadnell Bay an array of watersports await you.
