A three bedroom dog friendly holiday house in the heart of the thriving market town of Alnwick in Northumberland, nestled in a street steeped in history and perfectly located to explore the delights of the nearby coastline, castles and gardens.
Walk to Alnwick Castle and Gardens, dine at the Alnwick Treehouse, reach Alnmouth beach in 10 minutes drive or head over to Rothbury in the countryside for beautiful walks and a pretty village - there’s so much to do and see around here, to suit all age groups and interests.
Copperfield House is in a quiet terraced Street in Alnwick called Howick Street, just a few minutes walk to the very centre of the town. You can easily walk to Alnwick Garden, Alnwick Treehouse and the Castle from the house, as well as a great selection of restaurants, shops and pubs. The coast is easy to reach from Alnwick, both north and south. Southbound you will come to Alnmouth, Warkworth and Amble with the quirky Alnmouth pubs, beautiful Warkworth beach and rockpools and the interesting Amble harbour. To the north you have Craster with their nationally recognised Swallowfish kipper Smokehouse, Embleton with it’s stunning beach, Beadnell – a watersports haven, Seahouses harbour with famous Billy Shiels Farne Islands boat tours and Bamburgh with its magnificent castle. Drive inland to discover the charming country village of Rothbury, most well known for the landmark Cragside and it’s beautiful grounds. Discover the stunning Ingram Valley and Cheviot Hills for any keen walkers, or even drive up to the borders of Scotland which are very accessible from Northumberland. There is lots to see and do when staying in Alnwick, whether it be on foot from your doorstep or a pleasant drive away. Copperfield House is perfectly situated to enjoy at all times of the year and in all seasons.

Interior Details
The house sleeps four guests in three bedrooms, but can accommodate a 5th guest if necessary. - just be aware that there is only one bathroom. There is one king size room, a super king / twin, and a snug room containing a single bed. The main bedroom has a stunningly preserved fire surround, original sash windows and a wrought iron king size bed. The second bedroom also has sash windows and can be configured as a super king or a twin. All the bedding is hypo-allergenic. The third bedroom / snug has a single bed. The family bathroom is home to a stunning copper plunge bath, as well as a walk in shower. Downstairs there’s a lounge, dining room and kitchen. The lounge and dining room both have wood burning stoves. The dining room has a table for four, velvet sofa and sash windows and oozes cosiness. In the lounge there is a pair of sofas, as well as Smart TV with Netflix. The kitchen is well equipped and includes a range cooker, dishwasher and washing machine. There is wifi throughout.
Exterior Details
The back door opens out to the small enclosed patio yard, complete with pretty fairy lights and a traditional white iron table to seat 4. Ideal for enjoying a morning coffee or late afternoon G&T in warmer weather. There is no designated parking but you can park on the quiet residential street and there are no parking charges or permits.
