The Lodge is one of three holiday cottages in the grounds of Perrycroft, an Arts and Crafts gem set high on the Malvern Hills and designed by the renowned architect CFA Voysey. It’s a perfect base for visitors to enjoy wonderful walking (the cottage is dog friendly), with walks straight from the door onto the Malvern Hills, and to explore the surrounding Herefordshire and Worcestershire countryside.
The Lodge is one of three cottages on an estate high on the west side of the Malvern Hills with wonderful far reaching views. Perrycroft was built in 1895 and has beautiful gardens, which visitors are welcome to explore, and which are open to the public occasionally as part of the National Gardens Scheme.
The cottages are perfectly situated to enjoy exploring the counties of Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire, all of which are on your doorstep. The surrounding countryside is beautiful, with footpaths galore, perfect for walking and cycling. There are gardens, manor houses, castles and cathedrals to explore, and lots of interesting towns in the vicinity too.

Interior Details
The Lodge retains all its Arts and Crafts details, such as the leaded light windows and quarry tiled floors, cottage fireplaces and original door and window ironmongery. Refurbished to provide all modern comforts, care has been taken to interpret Voysey’s architectural vision, with its white washed walls, green painted woodwork and red curtains. Most of the furniture is antique, and chosen to enhance the atmosphere of this special place. The lodge has three bedrooms and can sleep up to six people. Upstairs is a double bedroom with antique brass king size bed, with a family bathroom opposite. There is a further king size double room and a twin room downstairs. There is a second shower room ensuite to the downstairs double, and a further bathroom accessed from the kitchen, available from summer 2022. There’s a spacious country kitchen with electric range style cooker, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, larger fridge freezer and a table seating up to eight people. The sitting room has a wood burning stove, comfortable seating and smart TV and has gorgeous south facing views from the window seat. There is a second smaller sitting room with cosy armchairs, books and board games. Central heating and wifi throughout.
Exterior Details
There’s a large, private and enclosed sloping garden with beautiful south facing views. There’s a garden table and chairs to seat six, and private parking for two cars (additional cars by arrangement). There is direct walking access onto the Malvern Hills from The Lodge entrance.
