And yet this whole retreat is powered by wind and solar energy, so you're definitely doing your bit for the natural world. With a stunning mountain backdrop, a beach just moments away, an array of shared facilities available and an unspoilt sky full of stars above you, this is a truly distinctive and romantic spot.
Finca de Arrieta is a 30,000 metre estate which features mature exotic gardens full of mango banana, guava and lime trees, and spectacular sea and mountain views in every direction. The Finca is wonderfully located just 300 metres from a sandy beach where you will find a seafront restaurant and bar, and the traditional fishing village of Arrieta has a good selection of restaurants and shops. In the water you can surf, sail, dive, fish, swim or windsurf, and around the island you can hike, bike, bird watch, wine taste, shop at local markets, take part in colourful fiestas and visit attractions like Rancho Texas Park and the various Centres of Art, Culture and Tourism. The mountain village of Haria is just a short drive away, and all along the coast there are golden beaches to discover. You could even take a boat over to La Graciosa, the smallest inhabited island in the Canaries.
Getting There:
The village of Arrieta is located on the North East coast of the island of Lanzarote. The island's only airport is located in Arrecife which is a 30 minute drive away (airport transfers can be arranged). You do not need a car in Arrieta as you have restaurants, shops and the beach on your doorstep but a car is essential for exploring the island. Flights to Lanzarote are available with Monarch, Thomson, Thomas Cook, Easyjet, Jet2com and Ryanair.

Interior Details
The yurt has a comfortable king size bed, plus a cot should you need it, and is built with a tiled floor and a traditional two-skin cover. It has been tastefully styled with original handpicked hard wood Mongolian furniture, and outside there is a fully fitted kitchen with a breakfast bar. A holiday in a yurt has all the good bits of camping, with none of the hassle!
Exterior Details
The yurt has a private south-facing terrace with sun loungers, a BBQ and a shaded dining area, and there is a toilet and shower room built around a palm tree. All guests have shared use of a solar-heated swimming pool and chill-out area with a Polynesian-style daybed. Communal facilities include a covered, open room with hardwood floors, a fully-equipped kitchen, a dining area, authentic Moroccan floor seating and an on-site honesty shop selling things like pasta, charcoal, milk, washing powder and local products. There are also animal enclosures and a children’s play area. Guests are free to help themselves to eggs from the free-range hens.

Conditions of Rental
A deposit of 30% of the total cost of your holiday is required to book any property. The remaining balance is due at least one month before your arrival in Lanzarote. Check in is 4pm and check out is 10am. A basic welcome pack is provided. Cleaning, beach towel hire, babysitting, local produce grocery boxes and private transfers to and from the airport can be arranged, as can excursions and activities like massage treatments, surf lessons, mountain bike hire and catamaran sailing trips.
