Hidden within a 100,000m2 piece of land on the banks of the Korana river, the Old Oak House is a sensitively restored country home which is characterised by peaceful isolation, wonderful views and a wealth of outdoor activities on your doorstep. A perfect spot for lovers of nature, and families and friends who love the great outdoors.
A unique contrast from the picture-postcard properties of Dubrovnik and the coast, this property offers a glimpse into life in continental Croatia. The house itself blends a retro look with modern comforts, with surrounding private land that stretches over meadows, orchards, river and forest. And the setting is one of outstanding natural beauty, quiet and unspoilt yet also lively with fresh air, adrenalin-fuelled pursuits and places of historic and cultural interest. If you’re looking for a proper escape in a genuinely lovely and wholesome part of the world then the Old Oak House is the place for you.
The house sits on a huge riverside property which incorporates a large forest, and as such there are numerous activities available on site. Hiking, fishing, hunting, mountain biking and kayaking are all popular pastimes here. Off site, the Plitvice Lakes National Park (a UNESCO world heritage site) is nearby, as are the cities of Karlovac (25km) and Zagreb (the capital). There’s something for nature-lovers and urbanites alike.
