General Info

The house has all mod cons, including satellite TV & Wifi. There is safe swimming in the lake, walking, fishing (row boat and rods incl.) or just relax on the large wrap-around patio. There is slate-bed Pool Table, Bicycles for all ages and also an Acoustic Guitar for night-time sing-songs! For winter months enjoy sitting by a homely fire in front of the lovely big limestone fireplace, read from a large selection of books, play pool or just sit and admire the beautiful views.

The Area Surrounding The Property / Accommodation

This is an ideal location for exploring the Wild Atlantic Way, West of Ireland, Connemara and Yeats Country. Connemara is wonderfully scenic and stretches from Galway to Mayo. There are many driving, walking and cycling routes and it would take weeks to truly explore all of Connemara but there are many one day routes that can be taken from Ballycurrin Lodge to give you a true sense of the beauty of Connemara. These routes include; Kylemore Abbey and its gardens; the landing place of Alock and Brown in Clifden; Killary Fjord and the location for films such as The Quiet Man and The Field. Galway City is a vibrant town and has a pulsating night life of traditional bars, live music venues, wide variety of dining options and modern clubs. Board the luxurious Corrib Princess from Galway city and enjoy a 90 minute cruise along Lake Corrib experiencing the lakes traditional trade routes.

Interior Details
The house is 180 sq. mtr. (2,000 sq. ft.) with 2 large reception rooms and 4 bedrooms. Reception rooms include - Sunroom, Living / Dining room. The Dining room has seating for 10. Sunroom and kitchen open out onto large wrap around patio with BBQ. There are three kingsize bedrooms with kingsize beds,  and one twin room.  There is also an option of two additional single mattresses for kids as pull outs, so if needs be, the house can sleep 10.  There are 1.5 baths, both with electric showers. The 6X3 Slate Bed Pool Table has both snooker and pool balls available. TV room has satellite TV and Internet / Wifi! Stereo system has connection for Ipod/MP3 players. The fully equipped kitchen has all mod cons including plenty quality crockery & cutlery, utensils, pots & pans, dishwasher, microwave, fridge freezer, food processor etc. Laundry room with washing machine and tumble dryer. Kids cot and high chair are also available.

Exterior Details
The house is situated right on the shores of Lough Corrib with its own pier and Row Boat which is available to all guests. Life jackets are also available for all ages. The house has a large enclosed garden and plenty of space to play. There are a number of bicycles to choose from for all ages. Many activities for kids include fishing, exploring lakeshore, go-kart, board games, badminton racquets, toys and dolls pram. Ballycurrin Bay, where the house is situated, is a renowned trout fishing spot. It is perfectly safe to swim in the lake beside the house. 

Conditions of Rental
A security deposit is required from which electricity, oil and rubbish are deducted. Turnover days during High & mid season is Saturday with departure time before 10.00am and arrival time not before 3.00pm.  Minimum charge of €350 (this would be for a two night stay).  No pets and no smoking.  Wheelchair use - although not fully converted for wheelchair use, as a bungalow,the house may be suitable for some wheelchair users. Ramps to access house are available and there is a "wet room" for showers.
